These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Unmute and all associated applications, services, and products developed and published by us. By downloading, accessing, or using Unmute, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Unmute strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise explicitly authorized. You agree not to use our applications to attempt to bypass device security, reverse engineer the application, or use the app in any way that violates local, state, national, or international law.

2. Content Ownership

You retain 100% ownership of the content you create, record, write, or generate using Unmute. Because Unmute's journaling features are designed around local storage, we do not claim ownership over your user-generated content, and we do not use your journal content for advertising.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Unmute may offer premium features through subscriptions, one-time purchases, or optional rewarded advertisements. Monetization and purchase flows may rely on third-party services such as Google AdMob, Apple App Store / StoreKit, and Google Play Billing. Payments and subscriptions are handled through the relevant platform provider.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Subscription management, billing details, and cancellations are handled entirely through your platform account settings (Apple ID or Google Account). We cannot manage or cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
  • Unused credits, features, or promotional entitlements do not roll over unless explicitly stated.
  • Rewarded ads are optional. A reward is granted only after the ad flow is completed and confirmed by the relevant ad provider.
  • Advertising and purchase flows may involve limited device, advertising, transaction, and fraud-prevention data being processed by the relevant third-party providers.

4. Disclaimer and Liability

Unmute is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the operation of the application will be uninterrupted, bug-free, or entirely secure from device-level vulnerabilities.

Data Loss: Because Unmute stores your data entirely locally on your device to protect your privacy, we are not responsible for any lost data resulting from device damage, device loss, application deletion, or operating system updates. We strongly recommend regularly backing up your device.

We are not responsible for how your generated or user-created content is used or shared. Any use of content exported from Unmute for public, social media, or third-party purposes is done strictly at your own risk.

5. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of Unmute after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the newly updated Terms of Use.
